Quality Assurance/Quality Improvement Development Program
This project promotes continuing education by providing scholarships to national and local conferences, as well as for the didactic and clinical training courses at Northcentral Technical College. For more information about continuing education scholarships, contact Carrie Baranowski.
Project staff assists in the maintenance of the WI DPH FP/RSH/EI Program Guidelines by compiling and distributing any changes in standards of practice to those in the field through knowledge-sharing activities and updates to the online guidelines. In addition, we will assist with quality assurance review audit activities. To obtain access to the password protected guidelines, contact Carrie Baranowski.
The QA/QI Development Program sustains Now & Beyond Management. This includes management of subcontracts for model practice projects, developing guidelines and benchmarks for project use, providing educational materials and kits, and informing on performance indicators.
This project has future plans to expand Dual Protection Partnership Initiative (DPPI) and Now & Beyond programs to include post partum contraception activities.
Training and Technical Assistance
Training
HCET WI project staff organizes training opportunities on core competency areas determined by the WI DPH FP/RSH/EI Program and needs assessments from the family planning/reproductive health clinic community. Training modalities include webinars, standup events and regional trainings. Staff also maintains virtual knowledge-sharing with constituents, including a website, listserv, online modules and weekly Monday Memos. Contact Michelle Watkins for training information.
Technical Assistance (TA)
Technical Assistance is either participation in a conference, academic program, or an on-site intervention. The on-site interventions are generally site-specific, tailored to a specific problem, and usually involve modifying or improving systems or procedures.
Preference will be given to TA requests which show a link to WI DPH FP/RSH/EI program priorities and/or a need identified through program evaluation. Please contact Carrie Baranowski with your completed TA Request.
